This research dealswith the linguistic evidence that is based on inference using the Arabiclanguage, the language of the Quran and the Sunnah, both Quran and Sunnah usedas source of inference. Imam Al-Matridi used linguistic evidence in hisreasoning; he quoted many linguists and used grammatical, morphological,rhetorical and other examples to demonstrate his views, and to add to thereligious evidence the linguistic evidence which is no less important than theQuran and Sunnah, but reflect the basis of the Quran and Sunnah.This research alsoproves Imam Al-Matridi' wide knowledge of the Arabic language and his abilityto use the Arabic language as evidence in the proof of his views, and this isnot true except for those who have stood Arabic language and became itsscientist
