Annotatsiya
This research aims to analyze the methodology of al-Maturidi in his interpretation of the Quran, focusing on the concept of divine will, and addressing the doctrines of deviant sects, particularly the Qadarite school. The research employs both textual analysis, examining al-Maturidi's discussions of divine will, and comparative analysis, comparing his views with those of his opponents. It presents a comprehensive treatment of the issue of divine will from an interpretive and theological perspective, drawing on the teachings of one of the most prominent scholars of Sunni Islam, Imam al-Maturidi (may God have mercy on him). Furthermore, it highlights the flaws in the Qadarite approach to interpreting verses concerning divine will, and the serious consequences this has for the fundamentals of monotheism. One of the key findings is that al-Maturidi distinguished between the divine will as it relates to creation (universal will) and the divine will as it relates to religious law (divine decree). Therefore, this research is titled: " The interpretation of divine will according to al-Maturidi, focusing on its literal meaning, and his refutation of the doctrine of predestination".
