Manastirli Ismail Hakki and Introduction of His Book Mevâidü’L-In‘Âm Fî Berâhîni Akâidi’L-Islâm

Abstract

DergiPark: 475972 rumeli Manastırlıİsmail Hakkı, as one of the Ottoman’s scholars, he was belonged to the scholarsof the knew muslim theolojy. He has written many books on the verious branchesof Islamic sciences. Two ones among them are about Muslim Theology titled: “Telhisü’l-kelâm…”and ““Mawâedu’l-in‘âm…”.The second book, which had being taught in the militaryand administrative high schools, was more scientific according to the firstwhich has been written earlier from the other one. But the first is veryfamoust among the students nowadays. “Mewaed, at the same time, is among thechoiced books of the Sultan Abdulhamid the II’s period. The scientificauthorities whom Mawâed is depended on are Abu Hanefa, Maturidî and Tahâwi whoall of them were the famoust lesdership of Hanefi sect at their times. Thirtytree years of Manastırlı’s life accoured at the period of Abdülhamid's reign.Manastırlı was appointed as a member of Parliament and he was veryreputable and reliabeled according to the Sultans. More importently is that hewas with Sultan Mehmed Reşad in his visite to Balkans as a preacher aboutMuslim unity of Ottoman Empaire. Mevaidü’l-in‘âm, although is in the classicformat, it criticizes naturalist’s views and it is noteworthy with thisfeature. So that it will be concedered as a knew theology book. Son devir Osmanlı âlimlerinden olan Manastırlı İsmailHakkı, aynı zamanda “Yeni İlm-i Kelâm” dönemi ulemasındandır. İslâmî ilimleralanında çeşitli konularda eserler vermiştir. Bunlardan ikisi doğrudan kelâm veİslâm akîdesine dairdir. “Telhisü’l-kelâm” adlı eseri daha meşhur olmaklabirlikte “Mevâidü’l-in‘âm” daha önce telif edilmiş olup daha kapsamlı ve dahabilimseldir. Askerî ve mülkî idadîlerde okutulmak üzere kaleme alınan Mevâid,Sultan II. Abdülhamid döneminin beğenilen eserlerindendir. Eserin referansbakımından başlıca ilmî otoriteleri arasında, Ebû Hanife, Matüridi ve Tahavîolduğu söylenebilir. Manastırlı’nın 33 senesi II. Abdülhamid dönemine rastlar.Meclis-i a’yân azası
