Beyâzî, Eş'arî ve Mâtürîdî arasındaki ihtilafların yalnızca lafzî (terminolojik) olduğunu iddia eden yaygın genellemelerden bilinçli olarak uzak durmuş ve 'asıl kaynaklara dayalı yeni bir tablo' sunmaya çalışmıştır. Al-Bayadi 'deliberately dispensed with the generalizations' that claimed contradictions between al-Ash'ari and al-Maturidi were merely linguistic (lafzi). He 'attempted to present a new image based on the original sources,' concluding that 'the disagreement is based on matters of content (ma'nawi)' and documenting 'fifty problems of the most diverse themes.' Nevertheless, he advocated that 'both theological schools must mutually respect one another and do not have the right to dismiss the other as heretical (tabdi').'
