İbnü'l-Hümâm, el-Müsâyere'de Mâtürîdî'nin ortodoks pozisyonunu takip ederek cennette Allah'ı görmenin (ru'yetullah) literal olarak mümkün olduğunu savunmuştur. Görme koşullarının aşamaya, kişiye ve cinse göre farklılık gösterdiğini, maddi olmayan varlıkların da cisimsel olmaksızın görebileceğini ileri sürmüştür. Bu, Mu'tezile'nin ru'yeti imkânsız gördüğü pozisyonuna karşı bir cevaptır.

Ibn al-Humam followed al-Maturidi's orthodox position in his Musayara, affirming the literal possibility of seeing God (ru'yatullah) in paradise. He argued that the conditions of vision differ by stage, person, and genus, and that immaterial beings can see without being corporeal. This responds to the Mu'tazilite position that the beatific vision is impossible.
