Özet
Sa'duddin al-Taftazani (722-792/1322-1390), who lived during the era of Amir Temur, holds a distinguished place in history as a polymath who made a great contribution to the development of Islamic sciences and world civilization. He authored more than one hundred works in the fields of jurisprudence ( fiqh), legal theory (usul al-fiqh), theology (kalam), logic, grammar (nahw), rhetoric (balagha), Quranic exegesis (tafsir), and other disciplines.al-Taftazani was recognized with high honorific titles such as ash-Shaykh Sa'duddin, al-Imam al-Kabir, and al-Allama.In particular, his works such as Talwih fi Kashf Haqa'iq at-Tanqih, Hashiya 'ala Sharh al-Mukhtasar, and Irshad al-Fuhul are considered important sources in the field of legal theory (usul al-fiqh).Moreover, during his service as a judge, he authored several books related to applied jurisprudence (furu' al-fiqh), such as al-Fatawa al-Hanafiyya, Sharh al-Fara'id as-Sirajiyya, and al-Miftah.Some of his works remain in manuscript form and have not yet been fully studied. The scholarly legacy of al-Taftazani plays an important role in inter-madhhab dialogue and the development of Islamic jurisprudence, making its research and publication a pressing task for modern source studies.
