Beyâzî, İşârâtü'l-merâm adlı eserinde 'tüm dinî bilginin temelinin imâmü'l-eimme (imamların imamı) Ebû Hanîfe'nin ifadelerinde bulunduğunu' ileri sürmüştür. Osmanlı dönemi âlimi olmasına rağmen (ö. 1078/1687), Mâtürîdî'nin fikirlerine tereddütsüz bağlılık göstermiş, ancak tüm sahih Sünnî kelâmının Mâtürîdî'den değil, Ebû Hanîfe'den neş'et ettiği klasik söylemini sürdürmüştür.

Al-Bayadi stated in his Isharat al-maram that 'the foundation of all religious knowledge is to be found in the articulations of the leader of leaders (imam al-a'imma), i.e., Abu Hanifa.' Despite living in the Ottoman period (d. 1078/1687), he was 'committed without a doubt to al-Maturidi's ideas' yet maintained the classical fiction that all authentic Sunni theology derives from Abu Hanifa rather than al-Maturidi himself.
